How I Became Aware of the Internetposted on 22 December 2012 in Internet RelatedWhen I passed my grade 5 exams with flying colors and was promoted to grade six, I found some lacking in me. All my friends had become an internet addict, but i, being an innocent girl, hadn't learned to use the net. I had been asking my elder brother for so long, to make me aware of the internet, but he didn't get time. Finally, one day he took out time for me. He started showing me some basic websites on the internet such as Google, hotmail, msn, yahoo etc. He also made a hotmail and a face book account for me. I was very happy for I could now stand along with my friends. Days passed and I started using the net little bit. I got more and more aware of it, and started using it with more confidence. I started loving it. Then one day I faced some problem with droid email. I couldn't figure out anything and asked my brother about it. He solved my problem immediately and I spent a good time using the internet.Other Sources: wikia.com | babble.com | www.internetsupportline.com |

Parents Should Respect Each Other for the Sake of Their Childrenposted on 17 December 2012 in UncategorisedThese days, it is not just mothers who fight for their rights, but fathers as well. Fathers Rights are the same as those of mothers, and they are all listed as parental rights in our laws. A father has the right to determine the way the child will grow up, just like the mother. Since both the rights are the same, the only way parents can be at peace with each other is to respect each other's rights. So many misunderstandings in marriage are brought about by one parent who has not consulted the other before making a final decision on something, and this can completely destroy a family. The children ends up suffering so much for reasons they are unable to understand. Consulting each other when you want to refer you children to a school is the best way forward. Let the two of you table your views, their advantages and disadvantages before arriving at the final decision. If one of the parent imposes their views then they should know that it is their children who will suffer in the end. Other Sources: expedia.com | people.com | telegraph.co.uk |

Had you just forgotten your main Password.posted on 14 December 2012 in TechnologyIn the current days where IT has taken over almost everything that we do in life, it is important to keep our information secure so that unauthorized people cannot get access to it. One way of doing this is by having a user name and password to applicable as a security measure. This is more applicable to account log-ins especially our mails and any other places that we consider to be important and private. Different phones have different security measures applicable to them too. Before accessing certain phones like the iPhones it requires the user to set a certain password that would enable them access it wherever they need certain services like accessing the voicemail. There are times that you can forget such important access codes and start wondering to yourself i forgot my voicemail password on my iphone, how do I recover it. Even though this might seem to be a challenging issue to you, you can still recover your forgotten voice mail password by contacting your closest iPhone customer support service. You can also recall your password by trying to recall your normal Pin code that you normally use on your phone. Most people use the same password as a Pin code access and as a voice mail code too. Therefore try to use it as wherever you discover that you have forgotten your voice mail password. It could work for you. Other Sources: peoplefinders.com | nytimes.com |

An Energetic Diet and Daily Routine Exceriseposted on 12 December 2012 in Health and BeautyThe key to attaining optimal health is being able to develop a daily routine that fits into your busy life and schedule. The first step is allowing yourself plenty of time in the morning to prepare and enjoy your first meal. Many people do not eat breakfast, and I believe it is a key point in living a healthy lifestyle. Before breakfast I usually start my morning off with a few sets of crunches and push ups to get my blood flowing for the day. After work is when I usually do my daily workout. I enjoy doing a cardio-based workout Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Tuesday and Thursday I typically do free weight lifting. My diet I feel is the key to my success in living a healthy lifestyle though. I eat at least 3 pieces of fruit a day and include vegetables into every meal and snack I consume. I find it enjoyable and immensely delicious when eating fruit or vegetables as a snack instead of crackers or chips. |

House Chores Shouldn't Be for Girls Aloneposted on 12 December 2012 in Internet RelatedMom and I had long planned to do a general cleaning of our humble abode during the weekend. It was the only time we could actually do it, because while I was attending school on weekdays, mom would also be busy doing her own thing in the office. We don't really expect much from the boys to do household chores. We all know how boys naturally are - they dislike doing these little chores and somehow they have this idea that there are things which girls were born to do and cleaning must be one of them. No, boys generally don't like to clean up even if it's usually their stuff that needs the most cleaning. When mom and I started our mission, we thought it would be wise to begin at the master's bedroom. Clutter was everywhere the room. The instruction manual for palm pre plus was already found under the bed, and to think that dad has been looking for it for the past two weeks. I cannot imagine how my brothers' room looks like now. Good luck to us, mom!Other Sources: walgreens.com | thefreedictionary.com | www.instructionmanualsonline.com |

When IT Support Saves the Day from Disasterposted on 10 December 2012 in TechnologyI have had many experiences with IT services over the years as I am constantly on computers while in the office. When the software my company used underwent massive change, our team frequently experienced problems. Over the course of several weeks our software would crash throughout the day causing for headaches amongst the staff. Luckily, we had a great IT department who was very understanding. Sometimes it might have been our fault, while other times the IT staff wasn’t even sure why the programs, but every time they were there quickly and were on the ball with the system changes. Without the IT team in place we would have been hopelessly lost and the business would have suffered as a result. Looking back on that experience I am glad we had such a competent IT team on staff. I’m sure there will be another system change at some point in the future of the company however I am sure that we will get through it with ease. More on IT support: IT support in Derby |

A Cheap Quick Fix to Improve Your House: Organizeposted on 29 November 2012 in Home and GardenI recently visited a distant relative who lives 400 miles from me, and was inspired by their level of organization. It wasn't a weird obsessive-compulsive level of organization, but I felt like my house would benefit from a similar level of organization. One thing my relatives did was to include labels on everything they had stored. In my house, I have a number of random boxes in my basement, garage, cabinets and closets. Whenever I have to find something, I have to jog back through my memory to think which box it was in. My relative had every box labeled, and was quickly able to find everything. If something doesn't quite fit in a category you have, you can either create a new box, broaden an existing box's category (change "beach gear" to "summer stuff"), or if it makes sense, throw it out! My hose had become so cluttered with things, most of which that I would never use. When I threw the things out that I most certainly would never use again, my house became a much more organized and pleasant place to live. I was even inspired to put up some wall art after the clean up. If something is still usable, but you have no use for it, you can try craigslist, ebay, or a garage sale to get rid of some things. Some times, less is more! Further Research: nih.gov | about.com | citysearch.com |

A Client Must Always Come First in Businessposted on 22 November 2012 in ComputersJim was on his way to work. He did not like to drive so he would take the bus. He was reading a book during his commute. He had been reading this book for the past 1 week. The topic that he was reading today was how to connect ms access with html. It was easy for him to understand and he could use this information at work in the future as well. He continued to read when his phone rang. Three Haggling Mistakes I Made When Buying My First Carposted on 22 November 2012 in Cars and TransportAs a young girl, with only $3,500 saved up, walking onto a used car lot was possibly one of the most terrifying things I have ever done. It wasn’t until years later when I purchased my second car - and various car parts online - that I realized the obvious mistakes I had made. Don’t blame the sales person, it’s their job, but I came to the realization that the $3,500 car I ended up buying was because of my poor negotiation skills. I made three mistakes which allowed the car salesmen to take every penny they could for a car that was subpar to say the least. The first mistake I made was telling the salesman exactly how much I had to spend. This gave him the advantage by hanging prices over my head. The second mistake was accepting the sticker price, or a small variation of it, as the only price. But the worst mistake, something I think few people really think about, was that I walked onto the lot naive and undecided. If I had done research on a vehicle that would fit my needs, I wouldn’t have been as easily pushed into purchasing a car that didn’t fit my standards, but as someone who didn’t know anything, it was easy to manipulate me and my money.Other Sources: wikia.com | babble.com | www.rattrayspares.co.uk Further Sources: cbsnews.com | itv.com |

It's Best to Leave the Big Jobs to the Professionalsposted on 11 November 2012 in Home and GardenWhen it comes to major plumbing projects, I have found that it is best to leave the big job to the true professionals. Although some things, like tightening up a small sink leak or minor toilet maintenance are relatively simple and I can go to the Graham Plumbers Merchant to get in some simple parts and do it myself, if you are unsure about how to do something, it’s best to call in for help. Once, my parents were having trouble with their garbage disposal pipe not working correctly, and my father attempted to fix the problem himself. He ended up making it worse instead, which resulted in a higher cost for repair. I believe that it is important for people to learn how to do basic projects, especially if they are homeowners. But it’s also admirable to support the local economy by giving plumbers the jobs that you know are more complicated for your experience level. They will fix the matter in a shorter time, and you can rest assured that the job is done right. Further Sources: drudgereport.com | pinterest.com | macrumors.com |

It Takes More Than Quality Systems to Grow a Companyposted on 9 November 2012 in Home and GardenAnywhere there is quality, a lot of people would go to get it. People want quality services and quality goods so that their money can be worth it. If these users of the services and goods realise that they are not getting quality from you, they will leave and move to where they get what they are looking for. The felt roofing systems are of good quality because the company doesnt want to lose any of its clients. They want to have a good number of clients every year so that their profits can go up and the company will also grow. A lot has been done to the company other than having great systems. The staff members have also worked very hard and ensured that people are getting what they deserve and all of them are gaining from the company. These clients spend a lot of money to get services from the company and so what they get from it should match the amount they are spending. Nothing should go to waste from the clients or from the company. Other Sources: stackoverflow.com | reddit.com |

Elizabeth Said Moonlighting is Not Such a Bad Ideaposted on 6 November 2012 in ComputersElizabeth has been moonlighting and has taken on a ghost writing project for about 3 months now. She said that the pay is rather good and the job in itself is not that hard. Though what she really liked about it is the fact that she gets to work on it from just about any location so long as she has a computer and internet connection. It is a technical blog and what she writes about on the blog are how to articles on several technical issues. The last post she did was an article on how to connect computer to hdtv and even though she doesn't have firsthand experience on how to go about it with a little reading on the internet she was able to come up with something of her own. Since the article passed copyscape she is 100 percent confident that it is plagiarism free. The blog writing task has been pretty simple she has to simply write in her own words the steps needed based on what she has found online. On Insulating the Home with Double Glazed Windowsposted on 17 October 2012 in Home and GardenI live in a very cold climate, so home insulation is important to me. When my husband and I remodeled our home about five years ago, we chose to use double glazing on all of our windows and also install some actis insulation for our roof. Our home is quite old, so before this update many of our windows were just single pane glass! It got extremely cold in the wintertime and we spent a small fortune on our heating bills. So when the time came to install new windows, I made sure to research the options to find out what kind of insulation would work best for us. We called a contractor to do the work for us, and overall, the project was not too expensive. The windows are expected to last at least ten years, so the investment was well worth it for me. The double glazed windows definitely kept the heat in during the first winter after the upgrade. We saw our heating bill go down and were very satisfied with the improvement. On My Climbing Roses in My Gardenposted on 16 October 2012 in Home and GardenI have a garden in the backyard where I add manure to make it a good "kitchen garden" and a separate where I've laid turf where my kids can play. I make raised beds for vegetables such as cauliflower, lettuce, carrot and radish. In between the raised beds I normally plant leafy vegetables such as spinach or fenugreek and herbs as coriander and mint. The raised beds in the garden have an advantage as one has to water the spaces in between the bed and the roots of the plants absorb the water without getting disturbed. The front of the garden has lots of flowering plants like ixora, begonia, and geraniums. I have planted rose plants that are climbers. They are placed on the walls and pillars and have fragrant and non fragrant variety. Climber roses are given sufficient support to climb as they cannot climb on their own. Proper manure, watering and care is needed for the roses to be healthy and blooming. More on this Topic: everydayhealth.com | merriam-webster.com |

The Dental Visit: Butterflies in my Tummyposted on 13 October 2012 in Internet RelatedEarly last week I realized that I was overdue a dental checkup. While I have to admit it is not one of my favourite things to do nevertheless it is important that we all have regular checkups. The consequences of not visiting the dentist regularly far outweigh any feelings of trepidation one might have when attending for their regular checkup. In my job, I specialise in marketing strategies for dental practices, so it's perhaps ironic I should be so nervous about visiting the dentists! We all remember having toothache at one time or other in our lives. There is no pain quite like it and it is a never to be repeated experience. So in order to save myself from needless pain and suffering a visit to the dentist is a must. Nevertheless that's not to say I don't have butterflies in my tummy prior to my checkup. As the time draws near I expend a considerable amount of energy on wishing all will be ok and I won't have to have anything major done. My dentist is a wonderful man. He has the ability to put one at ease straight away. He tells jokes and chats away as he works. He prods and pokes my teeth and pronounces all is well just a quick scrape and polish. I breathe a sigh of relief. I sit and let him work as he scraps and then polishes my teeth. When it's all over I am very pleased I went and have a lovely clean and fresh feeling in my mouth. All good for another six months. Great!!More on this Topic: cnn.com | wnd.com | gorillaleak.com More on this Topic: stackoverflow.com | webmd.com | investopedia.com | instructables.com |

Everyone's Busy Doing Their Own Thingposted on 13 October 2012 in UncategorisedThe other day Cyndi and Alice were busy looking at delectable recipes from Yummy magazine. The two volunteered to prepare the dishes for the upcoming house pot luck and though we have done something like this before many times already the two still insisted on having another round and this time insisted that they work in the kitchen. Alice asked me what type of food Id like present and I told her Id love some pasta, an adobo flakes pasta or a bacon and tomato sun dried pasta. She noted it down and the two continued with what they were doing. I noticed that Michelle on the other hand was busy typing away on her black Macbook and when I approached her she said without me even asking that she is doing a research on the rights of grandparents. She further elaborated that it is for one of her classes and if she does not finish it before the day ends then she is doomed. I smirked and walked away leaving her in peace with what shes doing. |

Take a serious look into the horizonposted on 19 September 2012 in Arts and EntertainmentA country that does not have book lovers is a country on its way to deterioration. Think about it, there are only a few people who get the chance of traveling every year. The rest are stuck in their country whether they like it or not. How then will they be able to know what is happening outside their country if they are immune to books? Of course one can always look up what they need to know from the internet but it's not the same as having a book whereby you can make reference every now and then. To get an isbn number uk, your book must be according to the international standards which means that you are recognized as a serious author. With people reading eBooks more often, the authors do not have to worry that their books are becoming extinct. There is hope that a generation is not becoming ignorant as long as they are reading eBooks. In case one travels where they have never been before, they can always have faith if they have read something about the place. Further Research: cnbc.com |

Dental Visits Are No Longer Painfulposted on 15 September 2012 in Health and BeautyMy sister is studying dentistry at the moment - she's on a cpd for dentists course - and she asked me the last time I went to the dentists. Well, here's my story. My teeth needed to be cleaned and a cavity needed to be filled. I avoided the dentist out of fear because my early childhood memories of visits to the dentist were filled with pain. Little did I know the strides that were made in the field of dentistry. The area surrounding the tooth that needed a filling was first numbed with a gel before a shot was administered. I did not feel a thing through the procedure. Even the cleaning methods were pain free. If you are in need of dental work, yet hesitant because of a fear of pain, I urge you to reconsider. Many dentists understand our fears and go through great lengths to calm us. Speak to you dentist about those fears and together, you can both come up with the right course of action that suits you.Other Sources: wikia.com | babble.com | www.dentisan.co.ukFurther Research: cnbc.com | urbandictionary.comFurther Reading: gizmodo.com | reuters.com | homedepot.com Further Sources: rottentomatoes.com | mashable.com | hp.com | yellowpages.com |
